A BIG Island History Potluck Picnic and Exhibit, planned by Rick Heineman and organized by Donna Russell, was held last Sunday afternoon at the Red Barn park. It was a lovely sunny day. There were exhibits including over 300 photographs of Island ancestors on display. The stage was
set up for Jake Ellefson to speak about. Islands history. There was a potluck lunch. There was music. Gloria Small had Island history books for sale to raise money for the Archives. There were fun activities geared for children. There is hope that this could become an annual event.
